GIA Style Card // Lillou’s Designs 50% off Sale?!?!?!?!

Posted in Featured News, MV-SL-Fashion, Style Card, Style News, Style of the Day, Women Fashion @ 8:05 am on September 26th, 2011 by VBatriani | 37 views

Bonjour readers! Hoping you all had a fantastic weekend. I know I did.

Lillou has slashed prices on everything on the  second floor of her store! As if I needed another reason to spend every last Linden there! Today I have 2 outfits to show you. One is a new release and another is priced half off! I brought lots of pictures so without further ado, lets begin.

First up, Pamela. Pamela to me is sleek casual style. I absolutely adore this new creation. The outfit is available in a rainbow of other colors but I decided to choose Caramel because i love the soft warm color.  As you can see from my picture Pamela is a stylish 3-piece pants outfit. The pants are long and lean, flared just slightly at the bottom to fit over your shoes. The scoop neck bodice is adorned with ruffles around the  neck belly and arms. Lillou completes this outfit with a great feminine hat.  I didn’t get a picture of this better ( and I’m sorry, I should have ) but the hat reminds me of a blooming flower. The petals open up and in the middle long feathers are attacked. Pamela will be a great addition to your fall must have collection.

Of course, for something so high quality I had to style Pamela with high quality shoes also. I choose none other than Purrfect 10. You all know I am such a big fan of 10′s shoes. The textures are truely high definition. The shoe designs themselves are unique but still practical for everyday wear. A hard skill to accomplish in Second Life. And of course, not to mention I love the idea of being able to change this shoe completely to black, or mix and match the original color with black pieces. Customization is the best way to stand out in a crowd where everyone is beautiful. These beauties I’m wearing are called Gemini. They are in chocolate. I highly recommend stopping in the Purrfect 10 store and trying these on for yourself.

I used Whistle necklace and earrings from PIMALOT to make this style fabulous. Whistle has a great mixture of edginess to it that makes it simply stunning. The texture change option is great. Something PRIMALOT is know for. Whistle is completely customizable to match any outfit you have.  A great recommendation.

Finally, I show you Eugenie. Eugenie is also created by Lillou Merlin. You can find this outfit on the second floor for 50% off.

Eugenie is a great work of art. Its classically glamorous and available with two skirting options. I am showing you the fishtail option. There is also a long train option. Eugenie, is no doubt, very fashionable.

GIA Style Card // Back and Better than Ever

Posted in Featured News, MV-SL-Fashion, Style Card, Style News, Style of the Day @ 1:34 pm on September 24th, 2011 by VBatriani | 42 views

Good morning dear readers. It is me, Vi. Do you remember me? It seems like I have been away from Second Life for so long. And I have missed it and all of you. When we last spoke I had mentioned that I had a few RL things going on that pulled me away from Second Life. That and with having to purchase a new computer, I was away for so long. So much has changed in the last 6 months, like mesh! When I first came back I’ll admit, I thought it was a store. * laughs* But thankfully, I’ve gotten a bit better, my family’s gotten a bit better and also my computer. YAY. So here I am blogging for you. Join me on this journey as i try to catch up  to the Second Life Fashion.

While pondering what to make my 2nd *first* GIA blog about I decided to stop into Bliss Couture. I wanted to say hello to Amutey, Pleasure and many of my other friends that are usually there. Upon rezzing, i first noticed that the store is the same stylish pink hue that Amutey has, no doubt, married her brand to. While chatting and camming around I also learn that I had just missed the fashion show for Amuteys new fur line! Looking at all the outfits I’ve missed out on was depressing enough, let alone missing her new AMAZING fur lines debut! I wanted to *headdesk* repeatedly while chanting “why did you go away, why did you go away, why did you go away.” Long, painful story short, I manged to grab a few goodies from her new line.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this style card.

OOPS. It appears I made a mistake ( I am human after all ) The Burnsie hair from Bliss Couture isn’t out yet.  Sorry for the confusion everyone. It will be out soon. YAY.

About Relay For Life® of Second Life®:

Relay For Life® is the signature fundraiser of the American Cancer Society. Relay For Life of Second Life (RFL of SL) is an annual activity that takes place in Second Life® in July each year. Volunteers form or join teams to have fun while fundraising and raising awareness from mid-March through mid-July. In July teams build campsites and walk a track, just like in a real world Relay. The main RFL of SL track event this year will take place on July 16-17. We will walk a virtual track for 24 hours, just like in a real world Relay For Life. Team members build and gather at their team campsites, enjoy live music, participate in fun events, and explore the many Relay sims and the incredible builds by some of Second Life’s top designers, as the event runs overnight and into the next morning.

In 2010 Relay For Life of Second Life attracted more than 120 teams with participants from over 30 countries, held over 300 team fundraising events between March and July, and raised over US$222,000 (that’s REAL US dollars) for cancer research and education. The funds raised go to research, advocacy, patient services and programs, with 12-15% going to international projects. Just as in the real world, RFL of SL is an international event.

GLANCE International Agency (GIA), SL’s premier fashion marketing and public relations agency is proud to present Nefertiti Kimagawa’s latest collection.

When evoking the designs to be presented on the runway on Saturday, Nefertiti explains: “Some were inspired from art exhibits in Second Life® and some from something cool I saw in real life but most of them just came from thin air because I design as I make. Rarely do I have a design before making.”

Come discover on the brand new stage the unique garments from the NKD Collection: haute couture and avant-garde dresses perfected with futuristic and surprising accessories (helmets, cages…) along with feminine clubwear ensembles and upscale gowns will be presented to the audience.

GLANCE Model Academy students Carley Benazzi, Marty Feiri, Tyra Eiren and Tanaya Baxton will be introducing Nefertiti Kimagawa Designs along with GIA Top Models Dixiesweet28 Twine, Leah McCullough and the reigning Miss Essence of Ebony, Imani Enzo.

Save the date! The latest name in fashion comes to you this Saturday on GIA catwalk.

About Nefertiti Kimagawa:

“I started the store in May of 2010. I named it Nefertiti Kimagawa because I knew a lot of successful designers in real life used their real names and also I couldn’t think of anything else! In the future, I would like to get a bigger store with an art exhibit attached to it. I never thought of myself as someone being very artsy before opening the store but now that I have learned a lot from trial and error I feel more comfortable.”

The latest clothing collection of StoRin by Annah Whitfield was showcased during a runway show produced by GLANCE International Agency.

GLANCE Magazine March 2011 issue reviews the event and details the outfits presented on the catwalk by GLANCE Model Academy graduates. Formerly known as “AnnaH Couture”, the fashion designer evokes both rebranding and her journey in the SL fashion industry with these words:
“I feel like there’s a whole new life for me and my brand, and the new name STORIN is perfect to mark this new era! From women clothes and accessoires to men clothes, passing through poses, poseballs and posing objects, you can find it all in just one place… Who knows what follows? I don’t know what else more I can be doing in the future! So far, I am happy with my Second Life… Storin is the celtic word for little treasure, and even not having any celtic origins, Storin is a store for you to find your own little treasures. I did find mine, and now I am willing to share it with you!’” – Annah Whitfield
