GIA Style Card // Lillou’s Designs 50% off Sale?!?!?!?!

Posted in Featured News, MV-SL-Fashion, Style Card, Style News, Style of the Day, Women Fashion @ 8:05 am on September 26th, 2011 by VBatriani | 37 views

Bonjour readers! Hoping you all had a fantastic weekend. I know I did.

Lillou has slashed prices on everything on the  second floor of her store! As if I needed another reason to spend every last Linden there! Today I have 2 outfits to show you. One is a new release and another is priced half off! I brought lots of pictures so without further ado, lets begin.

Snapshot 002 653x750 GIA Style Card // Lillous Designs 50% off Sale?!?!?!?!

First up, Pamela. Pamela to me is sleek casual style. I absolutely adore this new creation. The outfit is available in a rainbow of other colors but I decided to choose Caramel because i love the soft warm color.  As you can see from my picture Pamela is a stylish 3-piece pants outfit. The pants are long and lean, flared just slightly at the bottom to fit over your shoes. The scoop neck bodice is adorned with ruffles around the  neck belly and arms. Lillou completes this outfit with a great feminine hat.  I didn’t get a picture of this better ( and I’m sorry, I should have ) but the hat reminds me of a blooming flower. The petals open up and in the middle long feathers are attacked. Pamela will be a great addition to your fall must have collection.

Snapshot 016 450x450 GIA Style Card // Lillous Designs 50% off Sale?!?!?!?!

Of course, for something so high quality I had to style Pamela with high quality shoes also. I choose none other than Purrfect 10. You all know I am such a big fan of 10′s shoes. The textures are truely high definition. The shoe designs themselves are unique but still practical for everyday wear. A hard skill to accomplish in Second Life. And of course, not to mention I love the idea of being able to change this shoe completely to black, or mix and match the original color with black pieces. Customization is the best way to stand out in a crowd where everyone is beautiful. These beauties I’m wearing are called Gemini. They are in chocolate. I highly recommend stopping in the Purrfect 10 store and trying these on for yourself.

PRIMALOT Whistle wF3.1 earrings 450x450 GIA Style Card // Lillous Designs 50% off Sale?!?!?!?!PRIMALOT Whistle wF3.1 necklace 450x450 GIA Style Card // Lillous Designs 50% off Sale?!?!?!?!

I used Whistle necklace and earrings from PIMALOT to make this style fabulous. Whistle has a great mixture of edginess to it that makes it simply stunning. The texture change option is great. Something PRIMALOT is know for. Whistle is completely customizable to match any outfit you have.  A great recommendation.

Finally, I show you Eugenie. Eugenie is also created by Lillou Merlin. You can find this outfit on the second floor for 50% off.

Eugenie is a great work of art. Its classically glamorous and available with two skirting options. I am showing you the fishtail option. There is also a long train option. Eugenie, is no doubt, very fashionable.

About Relay For Life® of Second Life®:

Relay For Life® is the signature fundraiser of the American Cancer Society. Relay For Life of Second Life® (RFL of SL) is an annual activity that takes place in Second Life® in July each year. Volunteers form or join teams to have fun while fundraising and raising awareness from mid-March through mid-July. In July teams build campsites and walk a track, just like in a real world Relay. The main RFL of SL track event this year will take place on July 16-17. We will walk a virtual track for 24 hours, just like in a real world Relay For Life. Team members build and gather at their team campsites, enjoy live music, participate in fun events, and explore the many Relay sims and the incredible builds by some of Second Life’s top designers, as the event runs overnight and into the next morning.

In 2010 Relay For Life of Second Life attracted more than 120 teams with participants from over 30 countries, held over 300 team fundraising events between March and July, and raised over US$222,000 (that’s REAL US dollars) for cancer research and education. The funds raised go to research, advocacy, patient services and programs, with 12-15% going to international projects. Just as in the real world, RFL of SL is an international event.

GLANCE Showroom #48, RFL Exclusive silent auction: The Showroom Interview of Eshi Otawara

THE “FASHION SHOWROOM” INTERVIEW OF… ESHI OTAWARA

Eshi 450x450 GLANCE Showroom #48, RFL Exclusive silent auction: The Showroom Interview of Eshi Otawara

Today we meet with the designer Eshi Otawara who generously donated her time and a unique creation to the 48H RFL silent auction planned by the RFL team #40 “GLANCE Runway For Life.”

Why did you pick this name for your brand?
Initially my brand name was Chambre du Chocolat, but I’ve noticed people referring to my creations by appending my avatar name as in “this is an Eshi Otawara dress”. I’d say my patrons chose for me.

Where do you find inspiration for your designs?
Inspiration is everywhere. In people, in nature…

What kind of fashion addict shops your store?
Courageous, bold and adventurous people with a vision that transcends ordinary.

GLANCE “Showroom #48″ is an event supporting 100% Relay For Life® of SL. Why does it matter for you to participate?
I’ve had a close relationship with Relay for Life® since 2008 when my Fishook Dress became the most expensive fashion item ever sold in any auction within virtual worlds. I entered an auction on a dare by a friend Ina Centaur, and the dress had reached a bid of 460 000 L which  basically launched the name of my brand into SL Fashion world and 1st life books and articles. I feel like RFL is a charity to be trusted and it will always have my support to the best of my ability.

How would you describe your fashion personality?
I try to invent something new each time I make a dress. I don’t churn out dresses to be quick sellers; I take my time to make something that will primarily impress me. That way I know people will like it as I am my own worst critic. My brand of dresses is to be enjoyed like a fine meal – occasionally and comprehensively.

In your opinion, when does creativity flow best?
When I am in a loving state of being that translates itself into art.

Eshi Otawara’s exclusive creation currently auctionned (until Sunday, May 15th at 1PM SLT!) for Relay For Life® of SL 2011:

THE “FASHION SHOWROOM” INTERVIEW OF… RUX ANATRA

Ruxy for GLANCE Showroom 48 450x450 TODAY: GLANCE Showroom #48 opens! Come place your bid!

Today we meet with the designer Rux Anatra who generously donated her time and a unique creation to the 48H RFL silent auction planned by the RFL team #40 “GLANCE Runway For Life.”

Why did you pick this name for your brand?
I liked the name “Ruxy” as it is short, easy to remember and really inspired me a good-looking visual idea for the logo.

Where do you find inspiration for your designs?
I have always been interested in expressing my love for design and art through different mediums. Second Life® fashion design allows me to continue this, I find my inspiration everywhere.

What kind of fashion addict shops your store?
My group members and people who follow my new releases look for an individual style that is both innocent and not trendy. I think they like the retro styles mixed with the originality.

GLANCE “Showroom #48″ is an event supporting 100% Relay For Life® of SL. Why does it matter for you to participate?
I’m a woman in real life, and have known people who personally suffered from breast cancer and other forms of cancer. Contributing to raise funds for this cause is very important to me.

How would you describe your fashion personality?
I would say quirky, retro and sophisticated. In real life I do at times wear a fedora hat but mix it all up… I did have a favorite color but with time I love them all, I do like the use of gradients.

Will you continue to create virtual fashion? How do you stay motivated?
Yes, as I see it, my fashion designing skills improve over time and thanks to my exposure to the fashion design world there is definitely a constant redefinition and quest for more sophistication in my work.

Rux Anatra’s exclusive creation currently auctionned (until Sunday, May 15th at 1PM SLT!) for Relay For Life® of SL 2011:
