The way he tells the story, back in 2006, Carlos Kirshner came into Second Life(tm) as a producer and a DJ that was truly addicted to music: “Through my Second Life journey I found Goli Fierenza, as passionate as I was about music, she was just as passionate about fashion. After awhile she had gotten me addicted to fashion as well and her and I began wanting to work on a project together and and she came up with the wonderful idea of a fashion feed that just works, and is simple and right to the point. Then evthing blew up from there. Goli Fierenza and I began working on creating a place for all the fashionista’s to have a place to feed their obession.”

Goli Fierenza, co-owner of Virtual Fashion Feed, evokes her experience as a Second Life(tm) resident: “I started loving Fashion from a very young age, always wanting to look my best. Second Life became a way for me to feed my fashion addiction and then some. From shoes, to dresses, and to jewelry I hunted down the best of what I could find from what Second Life had to offer. During one of my many hunts, my boyfriend, Carlos Kirshner gave me the idea since so many of my friends and random people I would meet in stores would always ask me where I purchased what I was wearing, which led me to create SLHawtness.com where I could blog about my favorite finds and great quality items I would come across on the grid to help others dress well.

After SL Hawtness began to take off, I had the idea for a better and faster Fashion Feed where fellow fashionistas could join the hunt and be able to share, interact, and enjoy the find with me. My boyfriend and I then began working Virtual Fashion Feed, and everything just blew up from there we were surprised with the unprecedented support from our followers and continue to push the limits of what a feed can be. We’re just as honored and proud to be joining GLANCE Fashion Awards and are so happy to have helped contribute to the Second Life fashion community and hope to do so in the future as well!”

Carlos and Goli will award the winner of the  Best Skins Store category during the GLANCE Fashion Awards Ceremony. The event will take place on Sunday, February 20th at 1 PM SLT and will be taped live by Rezzed TV. It is sponsored by SecondNights. You do not want to miss the show!
